JAMES TYRONE SMITH

February 9, 1970 – May 31, 2007

On May 31, 2007, James Tyrone Smith, known as Scootie and Shack departed this life.  Scootie was born on February 9, 1970, son of Thelma V. Cager and James P. Smith in Cheverly, Maryland.  He attended Parkdale High School.  Scootie worked very hard at Mel’s Trucking in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

Scootie/Shack touched the hearts of everyone that entered into his life and was always there if you needed him.  Scootie will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his enjoyment in playing cards and hanging out with his “Friday’s” Crew.
He leaves to cherish his memory mother, Thelma V. Cager; his daughters, Ebony, Jasmine and Layla; his loving nephews, Treyvon D. Rucker and Jah’Shawn Colman; his niece, Gabriyele A. Smith; his sister, Tonya; brother, Kevin; sister-in-law, LaTisha and grandmother, Themla M. Cager, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends, Perry, Janice, Richard and Rah-Rah Lori.
