January 28, 1981 – October 11, 2008

Wayne Neville Thomas was born to parents Andre and Judith Thomas on January 28, 1981 in Washington, D.C.  Wayne grew up in a Christian home, where he was nurtured in the ways of the Lord.  At age twelve, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior while attending Shiloh Christian Fellowship where he was baptized.  His spiritual journey continued at Jericho City of Praise, where he became a member in December 2002.

He was educated in the Prince George’s County Public School system.  He graduated from Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland in June 1999, where he played football, basketball and baseball.  He continued his education at Bowie State University while working full-time at the Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration Office of Policy and Research in Washington DC.  Wayne obtained his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology and Business Administration from Bowie State University.  His most recent employer was Raytheon.

Wayne brought Joy and happiness to everyone who surrounded him.  To know Wayne was to love him.  He had a peaceful, calm spirit which attracted people of all ages.  He was blessed with a great sense of humor which accessorized his bright, beautiful smile.  Throughout his life, he was always involved in sports.  Wayne was also a car and bike enthusiast.  He enjoyed many visits to Jamaica, especially swimming at the beaches in Negril.

On October 11, 2008, Wayne departed this earthly life.  Wayne’s family loved him dearly.  He leaves to cherish his memory:  his parents Andre and Judith Thomas, sister Jasmine, bother-in-law Eduardo, niece Mercedes, his maternal grandmother, three aunts, one uncle, numerous cousins and host of relatives and friends.
